The following schedule is our basic guideline for the day. However each baby is on their own individual schedule which the parent gives us when enrolling and up-dates every 3 months or when changes occur.
As children grow closer to 2 years old their schedule will eventually merge with the schedule outlined here.
Our youngest babies spend most of their awake time being held, rocked, sung to, talked to and fussed over just like they would at home.
As babies grow and develop we gradually increase their activity time and space and their teacher/caregiver will introduce new and more challenging things to do and explore.
|7:00-7:45||Arrival Routines||Put clean sheets on cribs and get nursery ready.
Greeting parents and children, daily health check,
receive and store each child’s personal belongings
label bottles and baby food and log parent’s instructions
re. feeding napping and any other information parent provides
that will insure continuity in the daily children’s care.
|7:45-8:15||Clean up||Put used toys away to be washed and diaper checks|
|8:15-8:45||Breakfast||Toddlers sit at small table younger children in high chairs
for breakfast. Infants are held when taking bottles.
|8:45-9:15||Group time||Teacher will read favorite stories, sing songs, play finger-
games while we check diapers before going outside for a walk.
|9:15-9:45||Play time||Children play with puzzles, manipulatives that foster fine muscle
development, eye hand coordination, etc.
|9:15-9:30||Outside time||Children get ready to go outside. Babies in strollers, Walkers
|9:30-10:15||Outside time||Children go for walk if too cold to play in playground.|
|10:15-10:45||Coming inside||Children play while strollers get put away, jackets taken off,
|10:45-11:15||Group time||Teacher will read favorite stories, sing songs, play finger-
games while we check diapers and get cleaned up for lunch.
|11:15-12:00||Lunch time||Same routine as breakfast, put toys away to be washed|
|12:00-12:30||Outside time||Going for a walk or to playground or vigorous indoor play
to aid digestion.
|12:45-1:00||Get ready for nap||Some children sit on chairs having their bottles before nap.

|1:00-3:00||Nap time/Quiet play||Teachers sit with children and help children relax and go
to sleep. All toys and child surfaces get washed and sanitized.
|3:00-4:00||Wake up, snacks||Children get diaper changes and bottles or snacks.
Quiet play, books, some children get ready to go home.
|4:00-5:00||Outside/Inside Activity||Physical activities to foster large muscle development, like large
balls, singing games, music and movement
|5:00-6:00||Unwinding time||Children get diaper changes and get ready to go home.|
